For such a time as this...

First - I want to say THANK YOU for all of your love, prayers and support! The first miracle was that I was healthy enough to go! Praise God! The 2nd very obvious and tangible miracle was that just prior to hitting the road on the way to the airport to takeoff for Brazil, I added up the money that had come in for this trip.

The Lord knew that I was freaking out about signing up for this trip because of a total lack of funds to go. My dear friend, Carrie, encouraged me along saying that THIS was going to be a great way for Jesus to show you just how much He cares for you! The basic trip cost ended up at $3,600 and the total contributions... $3,640!! Thank You and Amen!

A short intro from my partnering letter...

I have felt the ‘nudge’ to go on a missionary trip for quite a while, but had a list of excuses not to go.  I am now at the point where I can say nothing but, “YES, Lord, I will go”!  I have been a follower of Jesus for a long time.  In the past several years, my faith has grown by leaps and bounds.

This past year, my eyes were opened more than ever to the extravagant love and awesome healing power that God showers on us - here and now.  I have personally experienced miraculous, unexplainable healing this past year.  My healing did not come from a doctor, any medication, procedure, or anything at all within my own power.  My healing came straight from the hand of God Almighty, the Great Physician!  My dear, sweet Pain Management Doctor could not explain my healing.  What he said was, “you’re right; God is healing you”. 

Matthew 10:7-8 says:

“As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”

It’s with this new level of hope, excitement, and expectation that I embark upon what will undoubtedly be the grandest adventure of my life!  My desire is to be smack dab in the middle of His will for my life.  God has placed within me an adventurous spirit, His love, a heart for the hurting, compassion, and a driving desire for people to know and experience of love and healing power of Jesus…for such a time as this!
